Service Overview: Trauma Therapy &
EMDR for Adults in Texas + Online Across Texas
Provider Identification & Licensure
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in Texas providing outpatient psychotherapy for adults (18+). I offer online therapy statewide in Texas and in-person sessions in Round Rock, TX. Services are private-pay.
Who I Work With
This work is for adults whose primary concern is unresolved trauma, often shaped by long-term relational or developmental experiences rather than a single event.
Many clients come in feeling chronically unsafe, emotionally overwhelmed or shut down, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that don’t change despite insight, effort, or previous therapy.
This page is specifically for trauma-primary work. If your main concerns are people-pleasing, perfectionism, or emotional intensity without trauma as the central focus, my other therapy pages may be a better fit.
You Might Be Looking for Trauma Therapy Because…
You might be searching for trauma therapy because you feel constantly on edge or numb, struggle to feel safe in your body or relationships, or notice that past experiences still shape your reactions today.
You may understand what happened, but still feel stuck in survival responses—such as hypervigilance, shutdown, or emotional flooding—despite insight or self-work.
Strong Fit Contexts
This work may be a strong fit if you:
Grew up in environments that felt emotionally unsafe, unpredictable, or neglectful
Notice trauma responses showing up in relationships, even when you want closeness
Feel chronically tense, braced, or disconnected from your body
Experience shame, self-blame, or a harsh inner critic tied to early experiences
Have tried insight-oriented therapy but still feel “stuck” at a nervous-system level
Not the Right Fit
This work may also not be the best fit if you are seeking short-term coping strategies without addressing trauma as the primary focus.
This work is not appropriate if you:
Are currently in crisis or experiencing active safety concerns
Need inpatient, intensive outpatient, or crisis stabilization care
Are seeking trauma work without sufficient stabilization or support
Need couples or family therapy as the primary focus
If this is the case, I want you to receive the level of care you deserve and encourage you to seek appropriate support or crisis resources.
Therapeutic Approach & Style
My approach to trauma therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and carefully paced. The focus is on safety, stabilization, and integration—never forcing, reliving, or rushing.
EMDR may be used as part of this work when appropriate. It is introduced thoughtfully, with attention to readiness, consent, and nervous-system capacity. EMDR here is not about pushing through memories, but about supporting your system in processing at a pace that feels manageable.
Credentials & Experience
I have advanced training in trauma-informed care and am EMDR Certified, which includes specialized education, consultation, and ongoing training in trauma treatment. My work emphasizes ethical scope, collaboration, and respect for each client’s pace.
Practical Details & Constraints
Sessions are 50 minutes and typically held weekly or biweekly. Therapy is offered via secure telehealth across Texas and in person in Round Rock, TX. This is private-pay, outpatient psychotherapy.
TLDR
In short, I help adults in Texas work with the long-term effects of complex trauma in a way that prioritizes safety, choice, and nervous-system regulation—so healing doesn’t feel overwhelming or retraumatizing.
Clear Next Step
If this sounds like it may be a fit, the next step is to schedule a consultation call. We can talk about what you’re looking for, assess readiness, and decide together whether this work makes sense for you.
You don’t have to force healing or do this alone.
This work moves at a pace your system can work with.
